Champions is also proud to introduce The Parisi Speed School to the state of Georgia.  The Parisi Speed School is the nation’s largest sports training company and currently has over 75 franchises located in 31 states. Over the last 20 years, the Parisi system has trained over 700,000 athletes from 7-18 years of age.  Included in that list of athletes are over 130 NFL draft picks and countless Olympic athletes.  Many NFL franchises and major college programs are supporters of the Parisi program and “Champions” is very excited to be the first franchise in the state of Georgia.

Champions of Dalton is a 30,000 square foot sportsplex in Dalton, Georgia aimed at providing top of the line training and facilities for students, teams, and adults.  Champions of Dalton is also the only Parisi Speed School in Georgia.  The Parisi Speed school has been training athletes for over 20 years with over 75 locations.  With over 700,000 athletes from every level of athletics having experienced the Parisi Speed School, the program is nationally recognized as the leader in performance enhancement training.  Along with the Parisi Speed School, Champions of Dalton offers adult training in personalized training sessions, one-on-one workouts, and class workouts.  Champions is also home to the ‘Champions Academic Center’ with a focus on SAT/ACT prep and the ‘Champions College Recruiting Center’ with packages available to increase your exposure for college scholarships.

Our facilities boast a 45 yard turf football field, a 50 yard sprint track, an expansive weight room, a 2000+ square foot multi purpose room with full media capabilities, three baseball/softball pitching cages, three baseball/softball batting cages, a full basketball court, a full volleyball court, a smoothie bar, locker rooms, and academic classroom space all in our 30,000 square foot indoor compelx.  We have the space and capacity for individual and team training, business conferences, parties, and much more.

My mission is to help youth, athletic or not, reach maximum potential in all areas of life.  I was born and raised in Belton, South Carolina.  I received my Bachelor of Science with an emphasis on Health & Wellness from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and I am certified with NSCA-CSCS and with USA Track and Field – Level 1.

Kent Boyd


Kent Boyd was born and raised in Dalton, GA. He attended Dalton High School where he excelled playing basketball. After high school, Kent received a basketball scholarship from Cleveland State Community College. Kent moved back to Dalton because he felt led to start volunteering with the youth group at Rock Bridge Community Church after college. He is now the Associate Student Minister there and his passion is for students to grow in their relationship with God and to excel in all areas of life.  My mission is to serve God by placing others before myself and to build self-confidence in students to accomplish anything in life.

Matt Donahue Image

Matt Donahue


Coach Donahue played college baseball at North Carolina State University where he was named Most Valuable Player after his junior and senior seasons.  He was named a 1st team All American as a senior and was elected team captain.  He was also the 1992 ACC Tournament MVP and was a finalist for National Player of the Year.  Coach Donahue was drafted by the Florida Marlins in their very first draft class.  After his playing career was over, he went into college coaching where he served as the pitching coach for both the North Carolina State Wolfpack and the University of Georgia Bulldogs.   Coach Donahue has also served as recruiting coordinator and camp director during his coaching career.  Not many can post such an impressive resume in baseball and Champions is thrilled to have Coach Donahue directing our baseball program.

Dean Haynes Image

Dean Haynes


Dean was a standout football and track performer at Northwest Whitfield High School.  Was named to the Georgia Class 4A first team All State football squad and was also honored as the regional ‘Player of the Year’.  He received a full scholarship to North Carolina State University where he excelled at running back and defensive back.  Injuries cut his career short and he finished his college career at UT Chattanooga, where he graduated with a degree in Integrated Studies, focusing on Human Biology and Business. Champions is excited to have someone with Dean’s background with us as one of our performance coaches.

Jimmy Howell

Jimmy Howell


Coach Howell was a 1st team All State performer at Dalton High School and represented the Catamounts in the North South All Star Game.  He was a 3 year starter at Tennessee Tech where he was a pre- season All Ohio Valley Conference selection and team captain his senior season.  Coach Howell was ranked in the top 10 in the country in free throw percentage for 4 straight years while at Tennessee Tech.  Widely regarded as one of the top shooting coaches in Georgia, Champions is fortunate to have Coach Howell leading our basketball program.

Scottie Kilgore Image

Scottie Kilgore


Coach Kilgore has been involved in and coached fastpitch softball for over 18 years.  He has served as a coach at Northwest Whitfield HS for 7 years, winning 2 state championships, and has been a major influence on the Force Elite organization for 5 years.  Regarded as the top hitting coach in the region, Coach Kilgore is in high demand for lessons from student-athletes that want to tap into his knowledge of hitting.  With the combination of Coach Kilgore and Coach Poteet, Champions is ready to take our fastpitch softball program to the highest level.

Emily Mann Image

Emily Mann


Emily was a standout player at  Northwest Whitfield HS and received a scholarship to Armstrong Atlantic State University.  While at Armstrong, she was named to the Peach Belt All Conference Team as a freshman and was also honored as the Conference Freshman of the Year on 3 different occasions.  She later transferred to Augusta State University to finish her career and again garnered Peach Belt All Conference honors and Player of the Week accolades on two different occasions.  She graduated with a degree in History.  Emily’s mission  is to always serve Christ while providing the highest level of complete pitching instruction.

Chad Poteet Image

Chad Poteet


Coach Poteet founded the Force Elite Fastpitch Softball organization in 2009.  Force Elite has grown into the premier brand of fastpitch softball in the region.  Multiple Force Elite athletes have signed college scholarships since 2009.  Coach Poteet has an extensive background in coaching both in the school systems as well as travel ball.   His knowledge of the game and the local fastpitch landscape gives Champions an invaluable member of our staff.

April Schneller Image

April Schneller


Coach Schneller was a standout volleyball player at Austin Peay University.  She has been heavily involved in the local club volleyball circuit for several years. She has also served in various coaching capacities at local middle and high schools.  A veteran of the local volleyball scene, her knowledge and expertise will help us grow Champions volleyball into the premier volleyball organization in the area.

I graduated from Lee University with a degree in Physical Education with a Coaching & Bible Minor.  Currently, I serve as the student pastor at Crosspointe Christian Centre in Dalton, Ga. My mission is to be a positive Christian role model for students by encourage them to be their best both on and off the field.
